Yukari
There was a time when life was so chaotic that I wasn’t sure I’d ever see myself clear of the storm.
How chaotic? I forgot that I’d booked a flight to Japan until the day before I was due to fly. Given the weekend I’d just had, I was lucky I remembered at all.
Wry of smile and expressive of yawn, Yukari and her husband Aidan hid me away for a few days in the mountains of Kaga, Japan.
There was no defining moment on this trip, nothing that told me that everything would be ok – things got worse before they got better – but I was seeing the world again, and that was enough.
